Dome design

by Mark Rowe

Vista has launched the VK2-1080XVRDPTZ which builds on the VPL7 and VK2-600PTZ dome design. The Xarina technology provides up 60 images per second across two independent streams, allowing for 1080p video on live and recorded images. Vista’s triple streaming feature is also available, allowing the streams to be set to different uses; such as live viewing, recording, and operation via remote mobile apps.

Vista’s Event Boost technology and SD card support are standard, so, the company says, network bandwidth and storage are optimised.

True day/night operation and 12x optical zoom ensures HD quality video the makers say, even in areas not easily viewable with a standard dome camera. Externally rated and vandal resistant, the housing is described as robust enough for schools, car parks, retail and other external uses.

ONVIF profile S compliant, the camera is compatible with Vista’s software and hardware recorders plus other third party manufacturers’ VMS systems.

Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director of Vista, says:“The VK2-1080XVRDPTZ is a tough and powerful IP dome, highly featured and based on a proven design that our customers have been using successfully for many years.”
