by Mark Rowe

NIT, an Ingram Micro company, and a value-added distributor of IP surveillance and physical security products in the MEA (Middle East and Africa) region, has signed a distribution agreement with IDIS, the South Korean manufacturer of security and surveillance products. IDIS’s full range of solutions will now be available across the Middle East and Africa through NIT.

It includes the IDIS’s line-up of IP cameras and NVRs, plus a choice of video management software (VMS) including the cost-free IDIS Center and the IDIS Solution Suite that’s for multi-site deployments and large enterprise-level applications.

Bassel Al Fakir, Managing Director of NIT said: “Our new alliance with IDIS provides significant opportunities for our company to build end-to-end cost-effective Surveillance solution which can suit different vertical markets. IDIS advanced plug-and-play video technologies will open up great new profit opportunities for our re-sellers.”

IDIS describes its DirectIP as an optimised HD surveillance solution, based on a secure IP framework, of cameras, NVRs, network equipment, and a choice of client software as a package. IDIS cameras and NVRs with VMS do not require specialised training to install, the makers add.

Harry Kwon, the General Manager of IDIS Middle East and Africa, pictured, said: “We are very pleased to have NIT, an Ingram Micro company on board. NIT are utilising their expert knowledge and extensive partner network, which greatly extends IDIS’s reach across the region and opens an essential sales channel.”
