CCTV User Group conference

Tony Porter the Surveillance Camera Commissioner (SCC) will be delivering the keynote presentation at the CCTV User Group Members Conference, from September 3 to 5.

He will cover Facial Recognition (FR) and the SCC’s new Buyers Toolkit (featured in the July print issue of Professional Security magazine) and give an update on Converged Threats and the SCC Strategy.

Also on the theme of compliance, Chris Harrison, CCTV manager for North Somerset Council will ask: are you GDPR compliant? And another regulator speaking will be Anne Russell – Senior Policy Officer – Police, Justice and Surveillance at the privacy regulator the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Also invited to speak are Mike Gillespie, Director of the cyber and information security awareness consultancy Advent-IM, on the cyber security threats for image sharing between originator and partners across wide-area CCTV networks; the former Detective Chief Inspector Mick Neville, the founder and head of the Metropolitan Police Central Forensic Image Team and Super Recogniser Unit; and on public reaction to the use of CCTV, Dr Emmeline Taylor, Senior Lecturer in Criminology at City, University of London.
