Black or grey domes

by Mark Rowe

Redvision’s X-SERIES PTZ and dome cameras are now available in black or light grey from stock, at the same cost. Previously grey was standard and black was a higher cost option.

Paul Hucker, managing director at Redvision, says: “Powder-coated paint is used to achieve a very robust, light-stable finish and all dome parts, including pedestal, wall and pendant mounting and the full range of brackets are included.

“The X-SERIES rugged PTZ and dome camera sales are going from strength to strength across colour/mono, IR and Dual Light models. This has given us the critical volume necessary to offer two standard colour options, not just one. Our recent expansion into larger premises has also given us the additional space necessary.”

Redvision continues to offer a bespoke painting service for its X-SERIES. “Customers can select any RAL colour in matt or gloss, including metallic chrome or stainless steel paint options. We keep a complete range of unpainted dome parts in stock, which are finished in the selected colour and built to order.”

Standard Marine and Extra Marine rated options complete the paint finish line up. These are for use in extreme or harsh places, such as oil rigs, sea-ports, terminals and on coasts. The Standard Marine has a corrosion-resistant plating applied to its body castings, before the powder coated paint. The Extra Marine has a 25 year life, dual paint, undercoat and top coat finish. All exposed mechanical parts in the pan-tilt and wiper mechanisms are made from marine-grade stainless steel, for increased durability. Both Marine finish options are white, to reflect direct sunlight and to help reduce extremes of temperature.

Paul Hucker adds: “Having black or grey as standard, bespoke RAL colour options and Marine rated finishes offers total choice to our customers. It may not be 50 shades of grey, but it does mean our rugged domes can be made to suit site buildings and architecture in almost any location and application!”
