A CCTV seminar and exhibition in Birmingham this summer seeks to provide an opportunity for CCTV companies to reach out to delegates from local businesses, civic authorities and the police.
Organised by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the event will run at Edgbaston’s Tally Ho Conference and Banqueting Centre on Tuesday, June 24.
While exhibition opportunities will enable CCTV manufacturers and installers to showcase, a seminar will explore the latest changes in surveillance legislation and technology, while exploring recent developments in the CCTV sector. Confirmed speakers at the event include:
Newly-appointed Surveillance Camera Commissioner, Tony Porter, who assumed this Government position in March this year and will be discussing his first impressions of the CCTV sector.
ACC Marcus Beale, West Midlands Police ACPO Lead for CCTV, who will be presenting on CCTV and its use in police investigations
Simon Adcock, Chair of the BSIA’s CCTV Section, who will discuss the development of CCTV Operational Requirements, which provide the vital link between customers’ expectations and the technical requirements of CCTV systems
Free to attend, this half-day event is open to everyone with a professional interest in CCTV, including local businesses, security installers, specifiers, consultants and security managers, as well as local authorities and police. Exhibition stand space is available at a cost of £475 plus VAT.
In a city where installation of CCTV has proven controversial, this event is expected to prove popular, and would-be exhibitors are encouraged to reserve stand space early. Both exhibition space and free delegate places can be booked in advance online, by following this link: http://www.bsia.co.uk/web_images/forms/Invitation%20to%20attend%20CCTV%20Seminar.pdf
