AVer at IFSEC 2014

by Mark Rowe

AVer is attending IFSEC 2014, the UK security industry event from June 17 to 19, at the ExCel in London. At the event AVer will be unveiling a number of new products. Visit www.aver.com/uk.

The new range includes the P5036 NVR, for medium-scale businesses that includes hybrid functionality to aid transition between technologies, with support for both analogue and digital cameras. The P5036 offers a full range of storage protection via RAID 0, 1, 5 and iSCSI for access to data, and with dual monitor support users can view live feeds alongside playback, ensuring uninterrupted operation. As a Linux-based system, the P5036 helps cut down on fees for overall savings, and with free CMS software, multiple users are able to log in at the same time and manage features remotely even when not on site.

Also on show is the 2MP SD2026 IR Speed Dome IP camera, featuring a 20x optical zoom and intelligent IR LED illuminator, with a range of 100m, a 360 degree movement and two-way audio to contact those around the camera.

The ED5000 Fisheye IP camera rounds off the new products on show – a 5MP camera with fisheye lens for 180 degree panoramic view or 360 degree surround view, for wide, open areas. A point-tilt-zoom movement with object tracking ensures that operator’s attention is drawn to suspicious activity. The camera comes with smart stream to increase or decrease recording quality for selected areas, and ‘Region of Interest’ to optimise bandwidth and storage. The ED5000 uses hardware-based de-warping to avoid the need for software upgrades.

Bentley Lo, UK Country Manager at AVer Information Europe, said: “We’re very much looking forward to IFSEC this year, where we’ll be presenting our new range and discussing the ways in which businesses can benefit from modern security solutions. We’ve placed a big emphasis on cost-effective operation that doesn’t compromise on quality or functionality, so stop by and see me or one of the team at stand C650, where we’ll be more than happy to talk you through these exciting new developments.”

You can find AVer at stand C650.
