4MP series

by Mark Rowe

Dahua Technology, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, has launched its HDCVI camera 4 mega-pixel series.

These cameras offer up to 4MP real-time resolution and 16:9 HD video output, without stretch and distortion, it is claimed. Meanwhile, they also support long-distance 4MP HD transmission.

The camera has high-end F1.5 large aperture lens and supports 120dB true wide dynamic range (WDR). The company says that pictures are achieved even in the most intense contrast lighting. True WDR (120dB) optimises the bright and dark areas of a scene at the same time to provide usable video. The camera supports HDCVI and CVBS signal outputs at the same time, with two BNC connectors. The HDCVI technology guarantees real-time transmission at long distance without any loss according to the company. The products support up to 700m transmission for 4MP HD video by coaxial cable and up to 300m by UTP cable.
