Vemotion at Farnborough

by Mark Rowe

The CCTV transmission firm Vemotion is among the firms showcasing products at the 2015 Security & Policing exhibition in Farnborough next month.

Vemotion Director of Business Development Ian Foxley is now confirmed as a speaker at the industry event. The conference and expo which runs between Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 March sees security products and services showcased under one roof for police and ‘blue light’ applications.

Based in North Yorkshire, Vemotion supply wireless video transmission products for town centre management, crowd control, mobile and deployable CCTV. Its products were in use at outdoor events in 2014 including the Yorkshire stages of the Tour de France and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Ian Foxley said: “The Vemotion brand continues to grow and our appearance at Security & Policing is just the latest development for the business as we continue to demonstrate exactly how Vemotion can benefit Police, local authorities, and other law enforcement and civil defence agencies. The conference will see key representatives from police forces and professional security firms witness first-hand the game changing advancements that Vemotion has brought to the industry in recent months.”

Hosted by the Home Office, Security and Policing 2015 runs at Farnborough Five Event and Exhibition centre.

Ian Foxley said: “With council and policing budget cuts, Vemotion’s security transmissions offer a functional and affordable alternative to fixed CCTV systems that can be deployed to suit the needs of each particular client. We’ve been making the headlines in 2014, most notably for our success in managing the crowd control and road clearance at last year’s Tour de France, but with our mobile and easy to integrate transmission systems we’re ready to show the industry as a whole how our systems can improve the way CCTV works.”

The company’s transmission products have also been used to tackle fly tipping in Bromley, pictured; and have helped tackle anti-social behaviour in Wakefield, amongst other local transmission challenges faced by agencies.

Ian added: “Previously, CCTV has been limited with hard wired systems which are expensive to install and quickly become out dated due to their lack of flexibility. What we can’t wait to demonstrate at Policing and Security conference is how our wireless transmission systems can be seen as a practical tool not just for gathering criminal evidence, but also for crime prevention and crime resolution that’s highly functional and highly practical. Some organisations are even using our technology as a management information (MI) and monitoring tool, where there is no direct security risk whatsoever; so these are exciting times for the industry and especially for Vemotion.”
