How London 2012 was the first biometric Olympic Games is among the topics at the annual biometrics conference from October 29 to 31. An exhibition runs alongside on day two and three. Now in its 15th year, the Biometrics 2012 event runs at the QE2 centre in Westminster in London. 

 

 

Speakers invited include Tony Smith, Gold Commander, UK Border Agency, and Matthew Finn, Managing Director of Augmentiq. Other UK speakers include Metropolitan Police DCI Mick Neville; Carl Gohringer, Business Development Consultant – Biometric Solutions, NEC; Neil Norman, Founder and Head of Innovation at installer Human Recognition Systems, and Mike Fazackerley, former Customer Services Director at Manchester Airport and now Head of Special Projects CAA; Hampshire Police CHief Insp Cleave Faulkner; Peter Waggett of IBM UK; Ed Jellard of British Standards Institute IST/44 Biometrics Committee; David Oldroyd, Managing Director, Morpho UK; Matthew Candy, Executive Partner, IBM Global Business Services; and Mark Crego, Global Lead, Border and Identity Management, Accenture.
