Sydney sales

Bull Products, the manufacturer of fire protection equipment, is hailing Australian sales of its Cygnus wireless alarm. Working alongside its Australian distributor, Checkpoint Products, the product has been installed on various large projects, including the Greenland Centre, pictured, which will be the tallest residential skyscraper in Sydney at 66 floors; and 1 Dennison Street, a 37-level commercial office tower which will be the largest and tallest building within North Sydney.

The product has also been supplied on other very complex projects such as the Sydney Metro Rail project and the Rhodes Central apartment development in Sydney. This project has eight basement levels and due to Cygnus’ mesh network functionality, it is the only temporary wireless fire alarm system that can operate in the complex conditions.

Checkpoint Products is also distributor of the Cygnus First aid alert, or most commonly known as Nurse-Call Alarm unit, which is a variation of the Cygnus Fire system and has been designed specifically for the Australian market. These units have been installed on numerous projects in Australia, protecting hundreds of workers.

Bradley Markham, Director at Bull Products, said: “With clients such as Multiplex and Lendlease, Checkpoint works with large international construction companies, providing solutions for fire safety requirements. Our continued growth in Australia shows the demand for wireless alarm systems and we’re delighted to be supplying our system to such prestigious projects. Our global network of suppliers has grown significantly over the past few years and it is great to see our alarm system protecting some of the largest construction projects across the world.”

Hereford-based Bull recently reported a landmark of more than 60,000 of its Cygnus alarms installed on construction sites globally.
