Smoke detection presentation

by Mark Rowe

Honeywell has launched a CPD approved aspiration smoke detection presentation.

Recent changes to EN54-20 legislation and the introduction of next generation aspiration smoke detection to provide earliest warning, accuracy and flexibility are among the aspects covered in the new CPD accredited presentation created by Honeywell Life Safety.

The seminar presentation launched this month is titled “Utilising Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technologies to deliver EN54-20 compliant very early stage smoke detection solutions to a broad range of challenging applications”. The multi-national firm says it’s designed to meet the needs of consultants, specifiers and installers working in the fire system design, architectural, mechanical and electrical contracting and facilities management sectors.

Covered is how aspiration technologies, legislation and associated system design tools have evolved to enable applications such as data centre, prisons, warehouses and hospitals to benefit from fire protection.

Presenter Tim Checketts, responsible for EMEA Sales within System Sensor, part of Honeywell Life Safety, said, “Aspiration is a highly effective technology providing the earliest warning of fire. Recent developments have opened up the range of commercial and industrial applications to which it can be applied, and have made it much more cost effective for mission critical, challenging environments. We are keen to spread this message to the industry to ensure businesses can all benefit.”

The presentations are organised on demand at venues chosen to suit attendees. There is no charge; the presentation lasts for around an hour; and attendance qualifies towards the individual’s CPD records. To arrange a presentation, ring Tim Checketts on 01527 406701 or email [email protected]
