A Scottish-based fire and security firm has two new senior members of staff at its Belfast office. At Scotshield, Sean Crumley, pictured, has become Regional Director and Roland Black joins the company as Business Development Manager.

Crumley and Black have already worked together for the past 21 years in various senior roles in the fire and security industry. Sean and Roland began working together in the industry in 1990 Sean as a Sales Manager and Roland as an Systems Sales Consultant.

Both remained on parallel careers paths working for the same organisation for 17 years, amassing extensive experience and knowledge about the fire and security industry. A change of company in 2007 saw Sean appointed as a General Manager for a Belfast based security systems firm, and just 6 months later Roland began working at the same firm.

With the two new roles at Scotshield and after 21 years working alongside one another Sean and Roland then once again secured positions at the same company.

Sean Crumley, Regional Director at Scotshield, said: “I’m definitely looking forward to expanding Scotshield’s business in Ireland and securing new contracts. Our dedicated team in Belfast is great news for our clients in Ireland as we provide local management with no additional charges and have a solid infrastructure in place to offer them a convenient and reliable service.

“Both Roland and I have similar backgrounds which will enable us settle into our new roles and hit the ground running to deliver a first class service to our current and potential clients.”

And Roland Black, Business Development Manager, said: “My new role at Scotshield is focused on continuing to grow the Belfast operation and secure new contracts. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen Scotshield’s business and develop customer relations across Northern Ireland.

“With the many years experience that both Sean and I have in the security industry, we’re certain that our progression to Scotshield will open up new business and markets to the company.

Michael MacBean, Business Development Director at Scotshield, said: “The appointment of two senior members of staff to our team has strengthened our business offering in Belfast. Both Sean and Roland have a wealth of experience in the security industry and I’m confident they will help expand the business significantly in Ireland.

“Sean and Roland’s business acumen and outstanding reputation within the industry will continue to enhance and drive our Belfast operation forward.”
