Access Control

TDSi at Intersec

by Mark Rowe

Showing its access control and IP CCTV products at Intersec Dubai 2014 is the UK access control product company TDSi. Its technical and sales specialists will be available on Stand S2-203C to discuss products and services with visitors.

Alongside their range of hardware, TDSi will also be demonstrating its latest software packages; The company’s VUgarde2 CCTV software solution with its EXgarde PRO integrated access control software, offer options with regards to the integration and co-operation – from passive monitoring and proactive security systems (such as access control) to manage all security needs. The new version of EXgarde PRO also integrates with the ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio wireless lock system, as well as Milestone’s video management software, Texecom’s Intruder Alarms and Microsoft’s Active Directory system.

Alan Hardy, Export Sales Director of TDSi said: “Intersec is our first big security event in 2014 and we have been making careful preparations for our stand at the show. As the key trade and networking exhibition in the Middle East, Intersec draws visitors from across the security sector in the region and beyond, so is an ideal platform for us to unveil the latest version of our EXgarde PRO security management software. We are also looking forward to meeting with local partners as we implement our expansion plans for 2014. Over 40% of TDSi’s business is generated by export markets and the Middle East is a key growth region for us in the year ahead.”

TDSi will be showing visitors that access control, CCTV and intruder alarms can all be connected to a central database, to provide a security system. Working with VUgarde2, EXgarde PRO is able to display live feeds from any camera, tag events for video playback, search recordings by date and time and offers video verification – alerting the operator to an event with pop-up live video. This opens up further possibilities to fully integrate access control with IP CCTV and other security systems. Operators can access live camera feeds, tag events that might be of interest later or take advice on pre-defined actions for any incident.

For organisations that already use it, TDSi’s EXgarde PRO integrates with Milestone’s Enterprise and Corporate video management software to deliver further synergy between the access control and video management elements of the security network. Users can view live video from any camera within the EXgarde Explorer window, so a problem with access control can be investigated visually.
