TDSi , is exhibiting on Stand 4/G20 at IFSEC 2013, at the NEC Birmingham. This year TDSi will be demonstrating its new EXgarde 4.1 Integrated Access Control software, which includes integration with TDSi’s VUgarde2, Texecom’s Premier range of intruder alarms and Milestone’s video management software. Other products being showcased include TDSi’s new BIOgarde Time and Attendance software, the new proximity version of its SOLOgarde stand-alone access control system and the recently launched stand-alone access control keypad reader.

John Davies, Managing Director of TDSi, will also be delivering a number of presentations at the IFSEC Academy Centre Stage:
Using Biometrics Access Control and Security Systems in Schools (especially in relation to the forthcoming Protection of Freedoms Act 2012), at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 14 – More info here
Exporting UK Security: Top Tips for Business Development on Wednesday, May 15 at 3.30pm – More info here

John Davies said: “IFSEC is one of the major highlights of the year for the security community and this year TDSi will be demonstrating a number of new technologies including our brand new EXgarde 4.1 software, which not only offers fantastic security integration capabilities but also a high degree of compatibility with legacy systems, helping users to make the most of previous technology investments. I will also be participating in the IFSEC Academy Centre Stage, presenting on ways in which the security industry can cater for the forthcoming Protection of Freedoms Act and how in times of recession UK companies can increase their profitability through a proactive export strategy.”

On Stand 4/G20 TDSi will be demonstrating how EXgarde 4.1 offers full integration with its VUgarde2 IP CCTV software and how when combined they offer a range of new functions including: the display of live feeds from any CCTV camera, the ability to tag events as they happen (for later review), a facility to search recordings by date and time and video verification – alerting the operator to an event with pop-up live video.

VUgarde2 accepts a myriad of camera feeds and formats (such as MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264 as well as HD & megapixel video streams from IP cameras, encoders and video capture boards). VUgarde2 has a number of built-in wizards to reduce installation and commissioning times and is available in two editions (Express and PRO) to suit the project requirements. It also features a built-in simplified user management system that provides user authentication, multi-level auditing and group based permissions to categorise access for permitted personnel.

As well as specific access and integrated security solutions, TDSi will also be presenting on its BIOgarde software, a Time and Attendance application. Windows-compatible, BIOgarde allows for the creation of employee profiles, fingerprint records, clocking in/clocking out recording and full reporting on any door using a networked TDSi facial reader or DIGIgarde PLUS reader (which is compatible with fingerprints, MIFARE cards and PIN numbers).

John Davies adds: “The DIGIgarde PLUS reader and BIOgarde software are the perfect combination for both small and medium sized businesses looking to make access more efficient, easy to use and timesaving, whilst maintaining the highest levels of security with an easy implementation and use for staff members. Having an integrated time and attendance system has never been so simple and effective.”

On the hardware front, TDSi will also be showing its new stand-alone access control keypad and a new proximity version of its SOLOgarde stand-alone access system. The stand-alone keypad offers access control via a single reader/controller, with the flexibility of access approval through both proximity cards and keypad codes and the capacity for up to 1000 passwords and card holders – for most stand-alone applications, the makers say. The new proximity version of SOLOgarde allows menu-based programming via a hand-held programmer. It offers a way of securing a single door for up to 1,000 users whilst maintaining security by enabling installation of the controller on the secure side of the door. SOLOgarde PROX is compatible with TDSi range of proximity readers, providing a choice of design and access methods.
