Norbain roadshow

The access control manufacturer TDSi highlighted its installer partner programme and showcased its latest range of readers and security software to end-user and installers visiting the Norbain North Roadshow, in Bolton on Thursday, July 2.

LeAnne Hill, pictured, Distribution Account Manager at TDSi said afterwards: “We were delighted to appear at the Norbain Roadshow again this year and met with a highly enthusiastic set of visitors. We were especially keen to highlight the considerable benefits for installers in joining the TDSi Partner Programme, which includes project registration (to ensure bids are protected and stay highly competitive) and bespoke training – which is available across our wide range of products and services.

“We work in close partnership with Norbain to ensure all our joint customers can get the most from our products and services, so the roadshow is a great opportunity to meet in person. Working with a distributor such as Norbain is an especially good fit because TDSi’s products are designed to smoothly integrate not only with each other, but also with a wide variety of security and buildings control systems from other manufacturers – both current and legacy items.”

Visitors showed particular interest in TDSi’s new readers, which the Poole-based firm says have been designed with user feedback in mind and are available in a number of shapes and designs. The new range of readers feature MIFARE and Proximity versions and include MIFARE Plus, DESFire and NFC technologies. During the user consultation process MIFARE Plus compatibility was highlighted as a central component in the development of the new readers as it provides higher levels of security, whilst maintaining flexibility and affordability of the original MIFARE technology.

Equally, the event generated interest in TDSi’s latest version of its EXgarde security software, which offers a centrally controlled, full overview security solution. The makers add that the latest version provides wider and more flexible web-based access, yet upholds the tightest security so operators can choose the best device or platform on which to access live and recorded security information from their access control, CCTV and alarm systems within a secured facility.

LeAnne added: “The Norbain Roadshow is a perfect opportunity for installers to experience the latest technology and products in the UK security sector, with all the latest in IP Video, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection solutions on display. Increasingly, security operators want to ensure that all their business systems work together, so there is great demand for installers and specifiers with the resources and know-how to offer this. Working with Norbain, TDSi offers exactly the support needed to achieve this and we look forward to growing our combined business together in a rapidly growing and flourishing market.”
