Hands free monitors

The 4.3-inch colour LCD screen from Videx adds to the firm’s range of colour video monitors for residential access control.

The product supplier says that video door entry is becoming an increasingly popular way to manage door entry to and from a property, due to the security it provides.

Neil Thomas, National Sales Manager at Videx, said: “The new 6400 series of hands free monitors are a cost effective solution for a hands free video intercom system offering features normally only associated with higher priced products. Advanced features include entrance recall, door release and a do not disturb function that enables improved access control security of residential and commercial buildings. Additionally, there are a number of programmable features such as ring tone, privacy time and number of rings allowing each apartment to be customised to the client’s needs.”

Monitors are available for the VX2200 six-wire system, VX2300 two-wire system and video kits enabling these monitors to be used in single apartments or to high rises with up to 1000 apartments. The monitors are described as a low profile surface mount finished in a satin white. The low profile design negates the need to flush fit the device and the connections are all plug type, reducing installation time, the makers say.

The 6400 complements the existing 6300 series hands free monitors and 6200 series with handset and can be used together on the same system. A stainless steel desk kit (Art.64931) is also available. For more on the 6400 hands free monitor, visit: http://bit.ly/1RzCQNz.
