Access Control

Fastest programmers at IFSEC 2018

by Mark Rowe

The integrated access control and intruder detection product company Inner Range added a challenge to its IFSEC International 2018 exhibition stand in June, by asking installers to see who could programme its web-based integrated access control system, Inception, the fastest.

Inner Range demonstrated how to use its Commissioning Checklist to set up its Inception system as part of IFSEC’s ‘Show Me How’ series. Programmers were then invited to see how quickly they could follow the instructions, for a chance of winning a smart speaker. The fastest programmers were:

· John Newbury from Ramtech Electronics;
· Nik Mihailovs from Antron Security (pictured, with Richard Money of Inner Range); and
· Brett Evans from Custom Technology Solutions.

Tim Northwood, General Manager at Inner Range, said: “The competition was a great talking point and a brilliant way to illustrate how simple – and quick – Inception is to install. We’re delighted to announce our worthy winners who all impressed us with their speedy efforts.”

The fastest programmer on each day of IFSEC 2018 won an Amazon Echo smart speaker.
