Access Control

DORMA will showcase a new access control system at IFSEC 2015. The new MATRIX AIR access control range has been designed with what the makers claim to be the thinnest profile on the market to enhance the aesthetics of a modern interior design scheme. The range includes integrated lever handle fittings and electronic access cylinders, which come in black or white. Said to be suitable for individual doors or as part of a complete access control solution, the product can be used with the MATRIX AIR app, which allows administrators to manage access rights.

DORMA’s stand will also showcase the new Automatic Folding Door, the DORMA FFT Flex Green. As a space saving solution, this provides maximum clear opening widths of 2.4 metres and meets the requirements for emergency escape routes in line with Approved Document B. The in-built locking mechanism is designed for integration with access control. The FFT Flex Green Automatic Folding Door also offers thermal separation efficiency as well as smooth and quiet operation to ensure minimal wear.

Also featuring will be an Automatic Security Sliding Door, the DORMA ST Flex Secure; and the launch of what the firm calls a new concept, where authentication is done by the door itself without the need for traditional card or fob based wall readers.

John Whitby, Business Development Manager at DORMA UK, said: “When it comes to security solutions, dealing with a trusted and experienced brand is vital. DORMA is the trusted global partner for access control solutions with experience of major projects throughout Europe. IFSEC International will provide an ideal platform for us to launch directly to the UK market engaging with all those responsible for product specification. At DORMA UK we can provide a single source of supply and a truly integrated solution for doors and access control.”
