Access Control

Access integration

by Mark Rowe

ARAS & RBH Security Group Ltd is the latest access control company to integrate with ASSA ABLOY Access Control’s Aperio wireless locking.

ASSA ABLOY says that its Aperio is designed to upgrade mechanically locked doors and wirelessly connect them online and offline to new or existing access systems, with the makers say minimal modification to doors and premises, as a security upgrade.

ARAS & RBH Security Group Ltd has used the Aperio wireless lock with its Axiom V building management and security system, aimed at multi-site and multi-tenant applications. By connecting with ASSA ABLOY Access Control’s one-to-eight hub, the new integration offers it is claimed installation with greater flexibility to upgrade the controllability and security of premises.

Caine Jenkins, UK Sales Manager at ARAS & RBH Security Group, says: “Bringing together different aspects of security management can be challenging. AXIOM V is built on an offering of sophisticated yet affordable security, which still uses revolutionary technology to enable a complete building security system. Aperio perfectly complements our solution and together with the revolutionary one-to-many hub ensures the cost and complexity of installing and integrating with existing systems is significantly reduced. This is great news for any Facility or Security Manager looking to solve costly and time-consuming key control problems.”

The Aperio range of C100 cylinders and E100 escutcheons now integrated with Axion V communicate via RS485 interface. By using Aperio in this way, ARAS & RBH supports 125kHz, Mifare, Desfire and iClass credentials.

Damian Marsh, Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Access Control UK added: “Working closely with our OEM customers and access control specialists is key to us, as it enables both us, and our customers, to provide end users with locking technology that meets both their budgetary and security requirements.

“ASSA ABLOY Access Control has always enjoyed a positive working relationship with ARAS & RBH Security Group Limited and the company’s ability to provide innovative security solutions such as Axiom V to a wide customer base. The successful integration only works to intertwine our joint business philosophy and we look forward to developing Aperio business opportunities with ARAS & RBH Security Group Limited.”
