Access Control

Access at Intersec

by Mark Rowe

Showcasing its latest access control and security products and services, at this year’s Intersec show – in Dubai from January 15 to 17 – is manufacturer TDSi. Headlining on the stand this year will be working demonstrations of TDSi’s integration between its VUgarde IP CCTV software and its EXgarde access management software.

Stand 4-302C will also be featuring the new Proximity version of TDSi’s SOLOgarde stand-alone access control system and its DIGIgarde PLUS Mifare, PIN and fingerprint reader – which now has new and improved software functionality. Managing Director of TDSi, John Davies, pictured, says: “The Middle East is a highly important and rapidly growing market for TDSi’s products and services, so Intersec 2013 is a key event for us. Not only does it give us a superb opportunity to introduce our new products (especially the integration between VUgarde and EXgarde) and to promote our wider portfolio, but it also enables us to directly support our local partners and to talk to visitors and clients about their access security issues.”

Representing TDSi at Intersec 2013 will be a mix of the company’s sales and technical specialists, who will be available to discuss the opportunities for partners as well as the finer details of systems integration and to address any technical queries. The team will include Export Sales Director Alan Hardy, VUgarde Business Development Manager Mark Horton, UK Account Manager Richard Hill and Technical Support Engineer Paul Ford.

The full integration of TDSi’s VUgarde IP video management software and EXgarde brings together the two leading products. VUgarde enables a security user to view live and recorded CCTV footage through a true client-server, whilst the EXgarde Access Management PC software application offers access control over multiple doors at multiple sites. Together, they alert an operator to the detection of a range of potential situations and then offers the ability to replay recorded footage, activate visually verification and control access – all through one portal.

The new version of TDSi’s SOLOgarde stand-alone access control solution still offers a way to control access to a door but now offers updated firmware which enables compatibility with the company’s range of proximity and Mifare readers (for single or multiple card use) and offers more support for PIN access, with controller support for two readers at the same time.
