UAV Show

by Mark Rowe

Among companies featuring at the Commercial UAV Show is the drone firm ConsortiQ, with sister companies UAVAir, a drone training firm and Cloud 12, aerial drone filming firm.

The trade show, organised by business media company Terrapinn, is in its third year, and is held at the ExCel centre, London on October 19 and 20. Register at http://www.terrapinn.com/exhibition/the-commercial-uav-show/index.stm.

Helen Cope, Marketing Manager at ConsortiQ said, “As the widespread applications of drones for commercial use becomes more and more apparent, the Commercial UAV Show has quickly become a vital date on every forward-thinking businesses trade show calendar. We can’t wait to join in the conversation and showcase our services this year. We have a strong team of aviation experts, experienced in both manned and unmanned operations, ready and waiting to share their insights, predictions and knowledge to those who want to learn more about how drones can help them.”

Representatives from the companies can be found at stand 93, with David Walters, specialist projects manager, Helen Cope; and Bryce Allcorn, training manager available at the show. With offices in the UK, USA, UAE and South Africa, ConsortiQ and its accompanying firms are also diverse in the industries that they serve, the firm adds. Seamus Kearns from Surrey Search and Rescue (SURSAR) will be joining the drone consultants at their stand, offering information about the dedicated Search and Rescue drone training course that is offered by ConsortiQ, developed with the SURSAR team.

Cope added: “As well as providing unlimited business benefits, we cannot ignore the childlike joy that flying a drone can also provoke. We’ll have a drone simulator at our stand so all novice pilots can experience this marvellous technology!”

ConsortiQ showcased its drone training for the emergency services in current-affairs style programme ‘Beyond Blue Lights’ earlier this year. Made with the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) and ITN Productions, the programme will be screened by the company at its trade show stand.
