March 14 is the date for the 2013 Railway Community Safety Forum.
This get-together is for the rail industry to report on and listen to the latest initiatives, and to share good practice on safety and security of staff, passengers and assets.
Security-related speakers are Stewart Barr of ScotRail on the train operating company’s alcohol ban, and Linda Gallagher from ScotRail on the toc’s safe station scheme. Aaron Marshall and Ros Watts of South West Trains and Ellie Reilly of Network Rail will discuss work with Portsmouth Football Club. And Mark Henderson of Network Rail and Stephen Hughes of British Transport Police (BTP) will discuss a graffiti project in Scotland.
