SAMI reports ongoing work to establish the framework and content with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). SAMI points to the work to ensure parity of standards and that its certified members can position themselves in the market.

A SAMI spokesperson added: “We consider this vital service for our members and the maritime industry, and we are looking to gain recognition for those companies who have proved, or are in the process of proving their excellence. The BRIDGE is the only point of reference of which we are aware that posts collated details of all their various certifications and accreditations, thus clients can build a full picture of the PMSCs they wish to do business with”.
