Business travel choice

by Mark Rowe

International SOS, the medical and security services company, was named number one preferred provider for personal security and medical emergency services in a benchmark study, “Policy in Practice 2015: Business Travelers” by the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM).

International SOS reports that it was selected as the preferred provider by 60pc of the FEM survey respondents. The respondents were global mobility managers, HR generalists and compensation and benefits specialists representing 204 organisations.

The Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) organises conferences, networking exhibitions and the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs). International SOS was recently awarded the “Most Innovative Use of Technology” Award during the US Global Mobility Summit in San Diego, and “Risk Management Specialist Company of the Year” at the CIR Awards in London.

Arnaud Vaissié, Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of International SOS said: “We are honoured to be named the “Preferred Provider” in the industry. We have continually invested and evolved to meet the changing needs of our clients and their mobile employees. The one constant is the focus on mitigating risks to the traveller while enabling their organisation to expand. Through travel safety education programmes, pre-travel advisories, 24/7 assistance and our global network we have enabled countless organisations to meet their health, safety and security responsibilities.”

One such example of continuous investment is the Voice of Our Member, that International SOS began in November 2014. The study, by global market research company Ipsos, analysed the experience of people requesting medical and general assistance from International SOS while travelling or working overseas.

Helen Wilson, Deputy Managing Director of UK Loyalty at Ipsos said: “International SOS continues to demonstrate their commitment to enhancing the customer experience. We see strong performance in their overall Net Promoter Score, a figure widely regarded as the standard for measuring and improving customer loyalty.”
