West London move for Infosecurity Europe

by Mark Rowe

The annual information security conference and exhibition Infosecurity Europe will be at Olympia London for 2015, its 20th year. The show organisers Reed Exhibitions say that the decision to move from the current and 2014 venue Earls Court to Olympia was prompted by the planning consent to redevelop the Earls Court Opportunity Area resulting in uncertainty as to the future of Earls Court as an exhibition venue from 2015 on.

Having been held at Earls Court for the past five years, Infosecurity Europe 2014 will be the final year the event is hosted at this location before moving to Olympia London which has undergone a £30m refurbishment.

Joy-Fleur Brettschneider, Group Marketing Manager, Infosecurity Group, said: “Working with our venue partners EC&O, we have been able to facilitate a seamless transition from Earls Court to Olympia. As Olympia is only a ten minute walk from Earls Court, it means that exhibitors and visitors alike will be able to continue to use the same hotels and restaurants as before, providing continuity to the entire Infosecurity Europe experience”.

The new dates for Infosecurity Europe 2015 will be June 2 to 4, 2015. Brettschneider said: “June reflects the ideal timeline to accommodate the needs of our audience best without any conflict of interest. The new dates remove any conflicts due to the Easter and May Day holidays, which have historically proved a challenge for many stakeholders. We will be making use of the Grand Hall and the recently completed West Hall – a new addition, since we were last there. Olympia London’s flexible open layout gives us plenty of space for growth and development.”

The Service Desk and IT Show which has co-located with Infosecurity Europe for the last 12 years will also be held at Olympia on June 2 and 3. “We are pleased that SITS will move with us and we are looking forward to working together to provide a great event and experience for all our stakeholders in 2015 and the years to come,” Brettschneider added.

Infosecurity Europe 2014 will be held at Earls Court, London from April 29 to May 1.
