Partner day

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision‘s first Value Added Solution Partner (VASP) day saw more than 140 guests. The day in London included technology presentations as well as live demonstrations of the company’s video intercom, thermal camera series, and marine grade anti-corrosion CCTV products, among others; as a taste and preview for partners of Hikvision’s latest products.

To offer more localised support, Hikvision UK and Ireland’s Business Development Team has doubled and there is now a dedicated business development and pre-sales team in Ireland. The pre-sales team has grown from two to seven and the post-sales technical support team has also grown from four to ten, the company reports.

VASP partners and distributors gathered for a tour of the new company offices at Stockley Park in west London, having moved recently from Maidenhead. Guests were invited to see the new demonstration facility, which houses the complete range of products including the Darkfighter PTZ range, Turbo HD 3.0 range, PanoVu series, thermal cameras and Hikvision video wall. The HCSA Training Academy, which has trained over 1000 installers so far, was also shown.

The VASP Partner Day awards ceremony followed, at the Radisson Blu Edwardian. For VASP partners’ achievements in 2016, the product company awarded ten Silver, five Gold and five Platinum VASP of the year awards. Also presented were four distributor awards.

UK GM, Hikvision, Jason Yang said afterwards: “It was a delight to host this event. We truly appreciate our partnerships with both VASP partners and distributors and do not underestimate how working together contributes to our collected success within the video surveillance industry.”
