NSI-approval for investigators

by Mark Rowe

R-ISC Investigation & Surveillance Company Ltd, Global Options and Esoteric Ltd are the first three security companies to gain NSI certification to BS 102000:2013, now part of their NSI-Gold approval.

NSI reports a history of working with companies providing investigative services, particularly in the area of anti-fraud investigations into personal injury claims, having had its own Code of Practice (NCP 103) accredited by UKAS, for years. NSI took part in the BSI drafting panel that produced the new British Standard, with many elements of its NCP 103 drafted into BS 102000:2013 ‘Code of practice for the provision of investigative services’. NSI has UKAS accreditation for the investigators’ standard.

Sam Greer, Managing Director, R-ISC Investigation & Surveillance Company Ltd, said: “R-ISC has always promoted the value of certification by the NSI and since taking sole ownership of the Company in 2007, I have personally extolled their virtues on numerous occasions. This accreditation to BS 102000 can only add benefit to our services and provide greater assurance to our customers.”

Steve Cook, Director of Operations UK & ROI, Global Options, said: “Having been approved by the NSI since 2006, I have always been an advocate of standards for my company and for this industry. I welcomed the publication of BS 102000 and this accreditation for NSI gives formal recognition for certification to this Standard, which now provides a quality benchmark for our customers.”

And Emma Shaw, Managing Director, Esoteric Ltd, a specialist counter-surveillance and investigative services company, said: “We are proud to have received the BS 102000 certification which is in recognition of our commitment to working to the very highest standards of service.”

Kay Aitkin, NSI Service Delivery Director said: “NSI has been working with organisations within the Investigative Services sector for many years and those who achieve NSI approval for this Standard will be sending a clear message to their clients of their integrity, professionalism and competence of the highest order, in committing to independent verification of their compliance against the Standard. Customers who contract the services of NSI Gold approved companies can be assured of services delivered to the highest standard by businesses committed to quality.”

Organisations providing investigative services interested in becoming NSI approved to BS102000:2013 can ring Julie Sumner at NSI on 01628 764838 for more.
