MSc graduation first

Perpetuity Training, part of the Linx International Group, reports the first graduates from the International Security and Risk Management MSc. It’s delivered by Perpetuity Training with the University of South Wales (USW). The ceremony in Pontypridd was on Monday, December 17.

The course addresses the critical issues in security management and combines theoretical knowledge with professional best practice. The MSc can be taken on a part-time (two-years) or full-time (one-year) basis. It’s delivered online, with tuition from Perpetuity. It is aimed at practitioners in international security and risk management. All assessments are research-based and modules include:

– Security Management: Prevention, Design and Protection

– Security Management: Risk Management, Loss Prevention and Corporate Security

– Strategic Security Management and Leadership; and

– Security Management and Delivering Value

Graduate of the course, Peter Edgar-Lane, says: “The programme was well delivered and the help and services provided by the Perpetuity Training staff were second-to-none. By completing the programme, I feel the articulate knowledge and skills gained will be extremely beneficial to myself as a whole and will prove useful to me as I move forward.”

Director of Operations at Perpetuity Training, Christina Kent, attended the graduation ceremony at USW in Pontypridd. She says: “When we announced the MSc in 2016 it was a landmark moment in the field of security training and qualifications, setting a new benchmark for vocational and academic excellence. Everyone involved in developing and delivering the course including the tutors, management and administrative team at Perpetuity Training are extremely proud to see our students graduate.”

About the International Security and Risk Management MSc

It’s open to applicants with a good Honours degree or appropriate professional qualification(s); or HND/Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline with relevant experience; or equivalent international qualifications. Holders of the Security Institute Advanced Diploma in Security Management are eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL) of 40 credits and a commensurate discount. Students who have completed the ARC International Training three-stage ‘Security Management Programme’ may be eligible to apply for up to 80 credits of RPL.
