The Australian security industry association ASIAL is running its 30th Security Expo from July 15 to 17 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Australia.

Jason Brown National Security Director of Thales Australia & New Zealand, said ahead of the event: “For 30 years now the Security Exhibition & Conference has delivered an event for our industry that is not to be missed. It’s paramount we seize opportunities like this to connect with fellow industry members to keep abreast of the latest happenings and future plans.

“This is especially important in this complex modern environment, where security practices and technologies are evolving at such a rapid rate.”

At the 2015 ASIAL conference Mr Brown, in his additional role as Australia’s Head of Delegation on Security and Resilience to the International Standards Organisation, will address the national and international standards for security, business continuity and crisis management, and outline future directions.

Among the exhibitors, VIVOTEK is cooperating with Genetec, Inc, the Canadian IP security provider, and two local partners, Hills and O-Lin. Featured products will include the 3-megapixel H.265 network camera IP9171-HP; the megapixel IR fisheye network camera, FE8391-V; the 5-megapixel mini fisheye network camera, FE8180; and a PoE switch with IP surveillance management functions, the VivoCam PoE switch.

VIVOTEK says that it has been working with Genetec to develop seamless integration for its H.265 cameras and compatibility with Genetec Security Center, the platform that blends IP video surveillance, access control, and license plate recognition systems. By adopting H.265 technology, Visitors to the Security Expo can experience the latest H.265 camera, the IP9171-HP at Genetec’s display (booth no. J18).
