Facilities management plays a vital role in providing efficient, safe and functional workplaces across all sectors. In 2019, FM people will continue to face shared challenges posed by disruptive technologies, skills shortages and shifting workforce demographics. To succeed over this period there’s a continued need to challenge the ways in which we all operate and also how we engage, motivate, recognise and develop our people. So says an FM contractor that’s running an ‘Innovation Lab’ day in Liverpool.
After their 2018 event, Carlisle Support Services are running the event on Thursday, February 7 at the ACC conference venue; at Kings Dock beside the Mersey. Some 200 of Carlisle Support Services key clients, and representatives from operations and procurement, are due to attend, to discuss new technologies, equipment and people practices.
Paul Evans, Managing Director at Carlisle, said: “Our 2019 Innovation Lab will see a world-class portfolio of brands working alongside each other throughout the day and is set to be another exciting day full of interesting incites and discussions. In keeping with our overall theme of empowering people and optimising technology to drive magical experiences, we are thrilled to announce that we have the Disney Institute joining the keynote speaker line up. They will be discussing and showcasing Disney’s approach to Customer Experience.”
Topics on the day include technology (AI, Mobile, Cloud and IoT), effects of Brexit, and human ‘super reocgnisers’; speakers include Stephen Bender from the Disney Institute on the Disney ‘customer experience’.
Paul Evans was featured by our columnist Una Riley in the February 2018 print issue of Professional Security magazine.
