Level 7 programme

by Mark Rowe

Study – Security 24/7 has launched the first Level 7 accredited Security Management Programme.

Originally taught as a post graduate certificate and latterly as a distance learning Masters Degree from a UK university, the level 7 security management programme is now the first QCF distance learning Level 7 Security Management Programme accredited by Industry Qualifications.

It’s described as contemporary and industry relevant with an alumni of about 4000 students from over 70 countries. Most of the students are drawn from international armed forces, law enforcement agencies and corporate security professional backgrounds; with alumni in every time zone and in every hostile environment, the organisers say. Academic validation is provided by Danie Adendorff M.Sc, pictured; Peter Camilletti MA (Cantab) and James Willison MA.

Level 7 is a post graduate programme between BA honours degree and a master’s degree. Credits from the programme may be used towards further study at master’s level. The Security Programme offer three routes.

• Security Risk Management and Physical Security • Security Risk Management and Information and Cyber Security • Security Risk Management and Crime Investigation Management

Study-Security Academic Director Danie Adendorff M.Sc said: ‘There is international industry support and recognition for the programme.’ Visit http://www.srmti.com.
