International Cyber Expo webinars

by Mark Rowe

Ahead of the International Cyber Expo in the autumn, a free-to-attend webinar series is running next month. The July 7 webinars will run from 10am to 1pm.

Opening, Professor Ciaran Martin, former head of the UK official National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), will go over cyber risk and give tips on threats, opportunities and making the best use of NCSC and other public resources.

The cyber world by its very nature is complex and the legal and regulatory world adds complexity. Hence the second session will be by Dean Armstrong QC – Head of Chambers 36 Group – a 30-minute session about Cyber Law and what CISO and CEOs need to know.

Thirdly, Nicola Whiting, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-owner of the penetration testing software firm Titania will speak on ‘Embracing Diversity’ including Neuro Diversity. She will explain how thinking differently will provide a better foundation to ensure cyber capabilities are designed and deployed by a better reflection of what should be considered as normality in society.

Closing the series, Prof Lisa Short, Top 50 Global Thought Leaders & Influencers on Blockchain, will discuss Blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for Security Professionals – What are they? How can they help and what do security professionals need to know? The session will give insight into how Blockchain, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are emerging with implications for security.

Expo Event Director Rachael Shattock said: “We’re incredibly excited to host the first Cyber Webinar series, giving just a taster of what is to come at the physical International Cyber Expo in September. Cyber security is a fast-paced and constantly evolving sector and the webinar series gives an invaluable opportunity to tap into some of the greatest minds in the industry to gather insight into the current challenges and solutions. We strongly recommend that all cyber security professionals looking to stay abreast of the industry attend the sessions and join us for a face-to-face discussion this September.”

Co-located with the International Security Expo, the newly launched International Cyber Expo will open its doors at Olympia, London on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 28 and 29. To register your interest to attend the Expo visit: https://www.internationalcyberexpo.com/.
