HABC conference

by msecadm4921

One of the exam awarding bodies that covers the private security sector, Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC), is holding a Security Conference at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on Tuesday, October 2. For details of this event, click here. Invited speakers include trainer Andy Walker, the SIA’s director of compliance Dave Humphires, Ruth Oliver of Skills for Security, and Tony Imossi, President of the Association of British Investigators (ABI).

Organisers say that this conference is for HABC Centres, and those involved with security training to hear about a range of topics.

This event will have a focus on the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with particular reference to an overview of the events and lessons learnt from them – a speaker being David Evans, the BSIA’s 2012 liaison man.

To attend costs £95 plus VAT for HABC Centres and £155 plus VAT for non-Centres. Spaces will be allocated on a first come-first serve basis. For further details email Lizzy Rose at [email protected] or ring 0845 226 0350.

HABC will also be holding four other subject-specific conferences on this date at the National Motorcycle Museum. These conferences will cover Food Safety, Health and Safety, Licensing and First Aid. Details of the Food Safety, Health and Safety and Licensing conferences will soon be available.
