The event security and stewarding contractor Showsec’s Training and Development Centre reports six new associates qualifying from the Management Development Programme (MDP). The in-house training was introduced by the security firm in 2008 and is geared towards operational development through a range of projects under the management of mentors. According to the company it offers crowd management and security knowledge and skills through a blended learning approach, combining operational experiences, mentoring, online modules and classroom sessions.
The company says that the MDP provides an opportunity for ambitious personnel within Showsec to gain knowledge from their peers.
This year associates, each assigned to a specific client or geographical area, were also directly involved with:
• Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations
