Disaster hero

by Mark Rowe

Are your children bored in their summer holidays already?! Disaster Hero is a free online game designed to teach children, parents, and teachers how to prepare for disasters. Dante Shields is the original Disaster Hero, founder of the Disaster Arena that recruits the best prospects to lead the next generation of the Disaster Hero Squad.

The overall goals are to ensure that players know what to do before, during, and after a disaster. Parents and teachers are included so that the family and school are familiar with the main concepts of disaster preparedness. Emphasis is placed on three steps – make a plan, get a kit, and be informed. Visit http://www.disasterhero.com

It’s free; if you play Disaster Hero as a guest, you do not need to sign up. However, your scores will not be saved if you play as a guest.

It was released this year by the US-based American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
