Each morning event has a similar agenda:

11:00 – Guest Speaker;
11:30 – Look ahead, Q&A;
11:40 – Networking and Refreshments;

Background

Each region has a CSSC Hub, which acts as the interface between those who have information and those who need to receive it. Each Hub is in contact with the police and other authorities and the industry sector groups and businesses. As first operated before the London 2012 Olympics, bulletins and alerts from the authorities – whether about terror incidents or other crimes, or hazards such as flood or fires – are shared with the relevant ‘Industry Sector Leads’ who, cascade it through to their own networks, within their respective industry. In the case of larger firms, this may include nearby smaller businesses that may not have formal business continuity or security functions.

The ten CSSC Hubs cover London, Scotland, Eastern South East, South West, Wales, East Midlands, West Midlands, North West; and Yorkshire & North East, based at the Bradford company Kings Secure Technologies. Visit www.thecssc.com/about-north-east-yorkshire/.
