The total security management (TSM) business of the outsourcing company MITIE has gained the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) approved centre status and can now deliver ILM qualifications. Through delivering ILM accredited qualifications, the contract firm says that is able to offer formal qualifications to its people, encouraging them to develop their skills.

 

According to the firm, this motivating them in their roles and creating desire to stay with MITIE thus giving clients stability in the teams they work with.

Part of the City & Guilds Group and a professional body, ILM are the UK’s biggest awarding body for leadership and management with 2,500 approved centres in 51 countries. Some 90,000 managers take an ILM qualification each year.

According to MITIE, this is an important progression for the TSM business. MITIE TSM’s Training and Performance Specialist, Terry Cheese said: “We went through a rigorous quality approval process to achieve ILM centre approval status and I am absolutely delighted with our accomplishment. We are very proud of the training that we design and deliver, so to now be able to offer qualifications with our Team Leading in MITIE course and 21st Century Leadership course is fantastic. It’s a real step forward in our training and development evolution and a testament to our passion and dedication for developing people.”
