Update any hard-wired detectors to wireless operation using the Genesis wireless Transmitter Modules

by msecadm4921

Luminite, manufacturer of Genesis wireless PIR detector systems, has launched the LGTX434 wireless Transmitter Module. The Transmitter Module enables detection products within a CCTV system, such as active IR beams, door contacts and alarm devices, to take advantage of wireless communications. This also includes products from other manufacturers.

“Detector installation is often quicker using our Transmitter Modules, as no hard-wiring to the CCTV system is required,” explains Graham Creek, Managing Director of Luminite. “The products can be positioned for optimal detection performance and only need cabling for power. The Transmitter Module itself, just like the Genesis wireless PIRs, has a battery life of 2 years.

“A total of 64 PIRs and Transmitter Modules can be used in each wireless system, within a 1km radius of the Genesis Masthead receiver. The Masthead is connected by either RS232, or IP network, to a DVR or NVR. The Modules have individual alarm, tamper and “trouble” inputs and come in an IP66-rated, waterproof enclosure, complete with aerial and cable glands.”

Genesis wireless PIR detector systems are integrated with IMMIX, DM, Heitel, Vista and many other manufacturers’ control systems. Users can map multiple PIR detector and Transmitter Module alarms (such as from IR Beams) to individual video channels, enhancing CCTV system capability. An electronic “health-check” is also enabled, where the correct operation of all the detectors within the Genesis system is tested every few seconds.
