ST15 charity cheque

by Mark Rowe

As ever, on the night before the Security TWENTY event before at Bristol in April, the money raised from a raffle and the ‘heads and tails’ game by diners went to a local charity.

At Bristol, that was the Wallace and Grommit Grand Appeal. It’s a charity for two hospitals in Bristol that cover the south west and south Wales, with the aim of making children’s time in hospital less stressful for themselves and their parents. Pictured with the cheque for £1650 are Roy Cooper, MD of Professional Security magazine and the evening’s compere; and Suzanne Maverick, corporate fund-raiser for the Appeal.

Roy Cooper thanks all who, as on previous evenings before the ST events, have consistently raised four-figure sums for charity, running now into many thousands of pounds.

The winner of the heads and tails game at the Bristol city centre Marriott was Aaron Sadler of CDVI.

For more pictures and news of ST15 Bristol, see the June print issue of Professional Security magazine. The remaining ST15 events are in Newcastle, at the Gosforth Park Hotel on Thursday, July 9, the same venue as in autumn 2013; and at the Park Inn, London Heathrow, on Wednesday, October 28, the same venue as last October.

The conference-exhibitions are free to attend, whether you’re a security or loss prevention manager, a consultant or specifier, or installer of security products, or someone with an interest in private security and wanting to stay updated about the sector’s products, services and issues.
