SDW 2016

by Mark Rowe

Science Media Partners, organiser of the security document conference and exhibition, SDW 2016, has announced that AUGMENTIQ, a security consultancy, is to provide strategic conference consultancy services for this year’s event.

AUGMENTIQ’s Managing Director, Matthew Finn, is an aviation, transport and border security expert. He will work with the SDW 2016 Team on developing a conference programme that will inform and inspire the secure document community through analysis of the latest global trends, case studies and debates.

Up to 2,000 are expected to take part in this year’s landmark 10th edition of SDW, May 10 to 12, in London.

As today’s world grows more complex, with issues such as mass migration, changing travel patterns and increased document fraud alongside governments’ need to communicate more efficiently and securely with their citizens, new challenges are arising for the secure document industry.

Mark Lockie, SDW 2016 Event Director, and Managing Director of Science Media Partners, said: “Matthew’s deep insight into the aviation and border industries, along with his reputation as a leading force at conferences around the world, makes him the perfect person to complement the SDW team. I’m looking forward to working with him, delivering a programme which really gets to the heart of the issues facing the industry, and brings new thinking to the global security document agenda.”

Finn said: “I’m delighted to be working with Mark Lockie and the SDW Team. It’s been a real privilege to support SDW these past few years; now we get the opportunity to combine our strengths. Our goal is simple: keep SDW on the leading edge by bringing the world’s best and brightest together to drive innovation in document security and identity management.”

SDW conference places can be secured by booking online at www.sdw2016.com/delegate-booking.
