Leading lock manufacture Pickersgill-Kaye Ltd will be showcasing its high quality and robust custodial locking systems and inspection hatches at the National Custody Officers’ Seminar and Exhibition taking place in Stoke-on-Trent, on September 25th and 26th.
At the National Custody Seminar organised by the Police Federation of England and Wales, Pickersgill-Kaye will be demonstrating the design quality and manufacturing strength of its Custodial Class 1 Cell Lock and Custodial Inspection Hatch to detention officers from more than 40 police services across the country.
The Class 1 Cell Lock is made from a single billet of heavy duty solid steel, fits all standard cell doors and has a lockdown capability. Featuring a steel bolt with a 34mm throw and anti-saw roller inserts, it has been tested against 300,000 door and handle operation cycles and has an interchangeable 8 lever inner locking unit.
By providing long life locking systems with low cost installation and maintenance, Pickersgill-Kaye’s cell door locks are considered to be the best on the market.
Also on display at the Moat House Hotel event will be Pickersgill-Kaye’s Custodial Inspection Hatch which has a reliable sliding cover mechanism to fit most UK police cell doors and can be easily moved to three separate positions; closed for viewing, open for viewing and open for access. The Kaye viewing hatch has long-lasting operational durability and is resistant to wilful damage.
All Pickersgill-Kaye products are designed on state-of-the-art CAD software and manufactured entirely in the UK using high-tech production techniques. Its cell locks and hatches undergo extensive and challenging testing on key operation, construction, overall durability and resistance to attack in order to satisfy the operational requirements of the national and international custodial market sectors.
The innovative manufacturer has had cell locks and viewing hatches installed by door makers at a growing number of custodial facilities for authorities across the country, including the Metropolitan Police, Cleveland, West Yorkshire Police, Staffordshire Police, the recent Two Counties project and the Northampton Criminal Courts complex.
