by Mark Rowe

Counter Terror Expo 29-30 April 2014, Olympia, London is pleased to announce the release of the 2014 Sales Brochure which contains important advice and information about the event to help security companies plan their 2014 marketing spend.

At the same time, CTX is also delighted to announce band new show feature zones which have been introduced to reflect the evolving security threat and new security solutions required by end users to mitigate a diverse range of risks. Top line statistics from 2013 event’s visitor research have also been released which confirm CTX as the preferred end user security event to attend in London

In the last five years, the event has continued to deliver a steady growth in serious buyers with attendee numbers growing by 230 per cent since 2009.

The live demonstration areas and workshops will once again build on the success of the 2013 event to allow security companies to showcase their latest innovations and techniques to an audience of senior end users and active buyers.

New for CTX 2014:

Protecting Critical National Infrastructure, Government and Corporate entities from malicious intrusion is the second major point on the UK’s National Security Strategy. The new Secure Communications and Cyber Terrorism Zone will provide a showcase of all latest technology and products designed to ensure coherent integration of cyber terrorism prevention aimed at mitigating this evolving security risk.

With Unmanned Ground, Air and Sea Vehicles having an increased adoption within Government, Law Enforcement and Corporate Organisations to deliver more cost effective, efficient and safer remote monitoring within hazardous zones, the introduction of the Unmanned Vehicles Zone will cater for this growing security sector.

The Border Security and Access Control Zone introduced into CTX 2014 for the first time will address and showcase the latest products and technology vital to securing international borders, facilities and points of entry

The integration of disparate technology and separate security function allows for a more complete picture of security breaches, accidents, disturbances and responses. The Integrated Security Zone will feature the latest range of CCTV, access control, perimeter protection and control room security technology, as well as providing an interactive educational and technology showcase demonstrating integrated security platforms in action.

Simon Foster, Head of Sales & Marketing at Air & Ground who exhibited at CTX 2013 and will exhibit in the 2014 event, was keen to comment about the show’s success:

“CTX 2013 has been an outstanding show for us. The visitor quality has been exceptionally high; predominantly the visitors were there ready to buy. We have taken orders on the stand and made crucial contacts.”

CTX visitor statistics show that 91pc of overall attendees said that they have met their objectives for attending CTX 2013; 85pc of 2013 attendees hold purchasing authority or influence the decision making process; and 76pc of 2013 attendees confirmed that attending CTX is vital to the security of their organisation.

Philip Hunter, Event Director for CTX at Clarion Events, said:

“With a 9pc growth in 2013 attendee numbers, Counter Terror Expo has secured its place as the leading security and counter terrorism event. Any decision maker or influencer is welcome to give myself or a member of the CTX team a call, or drop us an email, to discuss how the show should fit into their marketing spend to help their organisation meet senior decision makers and drive new business in 2014.”
