Next month, guarding firms of various sizes will give their perspective on Security Industry Authority licences, at The Security Watchdog annual seminar.
They are Douglas Greenwell, Group 4 Securicor; David Evans, Legion Security; and Craig Pickard, of Lynx Security Services. Terry O’Neil, MD of the Watchdog, will open the March 8 event, at Globe House, 4 Temple Place, London WC2R 2PG. Invited speakers are Peter Hermitage, SIA chairman; Stefan Hay, Director, Security Industry Training Organisation (SITO); Caroline Demoulpied of retail guarding firm Securiplan; and Richard Childs, Chief Executive, Joint Security Industry Council (JSIC) .
Assistant Chief Commissioner Mike Bowron, City of London Police, will describe Operation Griffin as ‘a real opportunity for the private sector’; Michael Hallowes, Deputy Director, ACPO Implementation Team, will discuss identity document fraud and organised immigration crime as a threat to business; and Stuart Lowden, of The Security Institute, will describe TSI’s role in raising standards.
