Guarding company VSG has been awarded the security contract for the Bank of America.
The worldwide bank has its European headquarters in London. VSG will be responsible for security provision at five sites in London and Chester employing about 100 people. According to the Northampton-based company, the win represents a breakthrough as their first client from the financial service sector and City of London. Keith Francis, Managing Director of VSG said: "This is a massive step forward for us in being recognised in the City of London. We believe this will open the door to further companies in this sector.” The company points to being recognised as the 14th fastest growing privately owned organisation in the UK by the Virgin Atlantic Sunday Times Fast Track 100. VSG has recruited Rod Stobie as its Account Manager supporting the contract.
With more than 20 years experience in the services, Rod arrives at VSG having spent the last two years at the London Stock Exchange. He says: “At VSG I have been given the opportunity to work with a major blue-chip company in the City and some 120 officers located from London to Chester. It’s an exciting time and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead."
