Software Forces

by msecadm4921

Timegate Group and Personnel Automated Screening Software (PASS) join forces to promote vetting, licensing and workforce management.

Timegate, a supplier of workforce management software for the security industry, and Personnel Automated Screening Software, a provider of vetting and screening software to the security and airport sectors, have signed an agreement whereby Timegate will promote and sell PASS to end users. TimeGate reports that it has been planning the launch of its new solution for over 12 months.

Mike Picken Commercial Director of Timegate Group said: “In collaboration with PASS we are now able to provide integrated vetting and licensing systems to customers with immediate effect. Over the coming months, TimeGate Group and PASS plan to work together to develop the solution into a fully integrated TimeGate module, making use of Microsoft technologies. We have considerable experience of designing software, including vetting software and by partnering with PASS we have access to their specialist knowledge and a tried and tested product from day one. Over the next 12 months we intend to work with our customers to bring significant cost savings to their vetting and licensing operations.”

David Lean, Managing Director of PASS and founder of Link Personnel Screening, a UK outsourced screening bureau, said: “We have been instrumental in adapting the BS7858 vetting standard to meet advances in technology. Moreover, in recent months we have worked closely with the SIA and BSIA to find ways of reducing the administrative burden of the vetting and licensing process. The result is a refined and unique software solution: Personnel Automated Screening Software (PASS) that is capable of producing labour savings of more than 33 per cent. We are delighted to partner with TimeGate at this important time for the UK industry. I am confident that their technology and market expertise will enable us to position PASS as clear market leader over the next 12 months.

What they say

Derek Smith, Director Legion Security Plc: "PASS has reduced our centralised vetting workforce by one third and has simplified the BS7858 process. We are now working with PASS to simplify our licensing process and make it just as efficient.”
