The Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush, opposite the BBC centre in west London, has become the latest partnership to join Association of Business Crime Partnerships (ABCP).
This Westfield has 265 stores, a 14 screen multiplex cinema, extensive food outlets, four department stores and a designer village with top Bond Street and Knightsbridge brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry, Hermes and and other exclusive names.

David Meech, Senior Security Manager for the centre said: ‘Westfield is a unique centre in the UK and we want to ensure that the safe and secure environment we have created for our visitors and staff is further enhanced. Joining ABCP will enable us to have an accredited partnership which will help to maintain the high standards of the security operation we have here.’
Meanwhile, the association adds that the ABCP has now been officially created following a joint board meeting between AABC and ATCM on June 3. The new name has been registered with Companies House and there will be a new logo and other visual changes. The new organisation has the support of ACPO business crime and the Home Office and organisers hope that with this level of support and a new government keen to support business, that the association will be able to increase the relevance of what it does and what it brings to crime prevention and community safety.
Operational members of the new board have met to discuss the strategy for the new organisation and we will be meeting with other board members, representatives of BCRPs, TCMs, business, ACPO and the Home Office on July 15 to discuss the strategic direction.
