Home Tech Event

by msecadm4921

Next year’s Home Technology Event will run from 28-30 June (training 27-30 June) at ExCeL London. This move, announced by event organiser Upper Street Events, sees the show shift back one week from its original date to help cut costs for exhibitors and visitors attending the show.

“We’re focused on delivering an excellent return on investment for exhibitors and visitors attending the Home Technology Event 2011,” says Event Manager, Cheryl Carroll. “One week later at ExCel London will reduce accommodation costs for those keen to stay over for the duration of the event. With the plans we have to boost the evening networking at the end of the show days, this will make it easier for attendees to stay longer, enjoy the event more and make the visit as productive as possible for their business.”

By rescheduling the show, Upper Street Events have been able to obtain reduced rates from ExCeL London hotels, in some cases, cutting prices by as much as £70 per night. Among the initiatives planned for the 2011 event are:

•The Hub Seminar Theatre – an integral part of the show with speakers to pull in audiences.

•Room Sets – dedicated spaces for manufacturers and distributors to showcase and demonstrate their latest products in action in front of custom installers, architects and designers.

•3D Feature Zone – a new area to allow the audience to understand the complexities of this quickly-growing technology.

•Workshops – opportunities for manufacturers and distributors to host installer workshops throughout the event.

The Home Technology Event is a showcase for smart home innovations. It features technologies and systems in home cinema, whole home audio, TV and video distribution, lighting control, structured wiring, HVAC control, blind and security systems plus an education and conference programme. Confirmed exhibitors for next year’s show include ACA Apex, Aldous Systems, Amina Technologies, Asheridge Communications, AWE Europe, BPT Security, Digibox, Dymo, FS Cables, Future Automation, Genesis Technologies, Gira Giersiepen, Habitech, Legrand, Promax Electronics, Rako Controls, Sensible Heat, Smart-E, TDI Tremiver and Unicam.
