Morley Electronics has launched a software front-end control package for their Sentinel range of access control systems. Sentinel Lite can be added to existing Sentinel systems and will operate with stand alone or networkable controllers to give full on-line PC access control. Using the popular Microsoft Outlook configuration, Sentinel Lite is easy to install, Morley say, as it is self-loading from a programme CD-ROM. Simplicity of use, Newcastle-based Morley add, extends to configuration, where a programme wizard leads the user through the set-up process. Operator options include a full time and date stamped transaction screen, the addition of system users and operators again via simple easy to understand menu screens and full history report with 100,000 event memory. Reports can be printed or exported as documents, database files or spreadsheet files, with the further option to export as HTML files for e-mailing. Sentinel Lite does not require a security dongle, and does not need special treatment (Morley offers inter-connecting cables between Sentinel controllers and PCs already made up).
