Pixim Inc, a US provider of image sensors and processors for CCTV cameras, report that their Orca chipset and camera reference designs were awarded the Silver Excellence Award for technical innovation and market influence at the opening ceremonies of the China Public Security Exhibition (CPSE) Show in Shenzhen, China.
Pixim says its chipsets are the world’s first digital image sensor solutions tailored specifically for the video security industry.
"Pixim is honored to be selected for the 2007 CPSE Silver Excellence Award for our technical contribution to the security camera industry by a worldwide panel of professionals and experts," said John Monti, Pixim vice president of marketing and business development. "In addition to noting the technical achievements of our Orca chipset and camera reference designs, the award also recognizes the widespread market adoption of our chipset that has set the standard for image quality."
