The Vault-it system from Vaulted Image Technologies has been developed to capture images from conventional CCTV cameras, transmit them via the internet and store them in a remote data centre.
Images can be viewed using a standard internet browser. Image capture can be triggered by alarm inputs such as passive infra-red detectors or by video motion detection. When an incident occurs, the system only captures images when movement is taking place on the camera, and thus avoids irrelevant video monitoring.
